Not to up to date with the latest fashion are ya Tyra?
Recently Lia Sophia was featured on The Tyra Banks show...
"So, I sit through the entire horrible program, with Tyra yelling and carrying on and pretending to do makeovers on audience members. And, finally, it's time. And she says....the jewelry is called "LISA sophia"! I couldn't believe it. Thanks for the promo Tyra. Sheesh! Also, it was the retired Artifact bracelet. And she said the name of the bracelet wrong too, but I can't even remember what she said."...
Lets stick to your modeling there Tyra, keep the direct sales to the professionals... ;)

Wahm in the Spotlight!
What company do you represent/own? Sr. Consultant with Just Jewelry
What made you become a rep or owner of this company? I immediately fell in love with the jewelry. I remember when I first visited the Just Jewelry website and was viewing the online catalog how awesome I thought the jewelry was . . . so different and unique to other companies I had seen. When I looked at the prices for the jewelry, I thought I was seeing things wrong. I had to zoom in on the catalog to make sure, lol! I was blown away! I contacted the consultant that I had connected with, placed on order with her one day, then joined the company the next - without ever seeing the jewelry yet. I must say I was not disappointed! The jewelry was not done justice in the catalog. AND, when I learned more about Just Jewelry's philosophy, compensation plan, etc., I just had to be part of this ground floor opportunity.
What have you liked most about the company? Tough question . . . there are so many things. I must say above all I really appreciate the founders hands-on approach to their company. They started out as SAHM and stumbled upon this venture after trying other direct sales companies and not liking them. They are very active in the company and are always available if you really need them to be. They listen to their consultants and customers and really care about our thoughts and suggestions.
What do you enjoy most about being a wahm/sahm? I would love to be a full-time wahm . . . not there yet, but getting closer all the time. My children are grown and I was there for them when they were little, but I missed so much of their growing up after they entered school. I want to be able to help my children have a stay at home parent (either them or their spouse) to be with the children while they grow up . . . 18 years seems like a long time, but being on the other side of that now I can tell you that 18 years is not long enough to be with your children.
How long have you been with this company? One year, one month
What new items can we look forward to in the coming months? Just Jewelry has new catalogs and jewelry collections twice a year, spring/summer comes out March 1 and fall/winter comes out September 1. We always offer necklaces, earrings, bracelets, watches, key rings, .925 sterling silver rings, toe rings, and anklets. We carry sunglasses year round and Pashmina scarves.

List of top work-at-home terms you should know..
Many who are already in the work from home industry know most of these terms but those who are just searching and have not understood all that is involved in working from home yet... will not know most of these. This is where educating yourself before searching for work from home is necessary to find what you are looking for. Especially if you want to avoid scams and wasted time on your search.
Below are a list of terms to know when you are searching for work from home or already work from home. This will make it much easier for when you need to disect a word you do not understand in the industry.
Affiliate - An Individual who partners to a product / service and promotes/markets it to others for a commission.
Article Writing - Someone who writes articles online to earn an income or build their opportunity.

You can find these on many Social Networking websites and directly online. On Social Networking websites they are considered 'Groups' and directly online it is considered a 'Forum / Message Board'.
Home-Based Business - Similar to a Direct Sales/Network Marketing company. Provides a service or product that allows you to work from your computer and phone. Without having to leave your home.
Independent Contractor - A person who is not an employee of the company, but provides a service for the company under a written contract or agreement. Also someone who is self-employed.

Virtual Assistant/VA - Works from home providing different services from admin, phone work, filing, faxing, communicating through email, assistance to the company that they are working for or provides a certain service to Clients as their own VA Home Business.

The Myth of Easy Money: Why You Won't Get Paid to Surf the Web
There are many sites online that promise you that you could be paid to surf the Internet, take surveys or to click on ads. Unfortunately, most of these are scams that will take your money and run. Any site that promises that they can show you how to make money online is tempting, but most programs are either illegal or not workable, and you should take caution before becoming involved in one.
Paid to Surf Schemes
You should never pay a company to "work for them", especially if this company is online. Most paid to surf sites take money from new members, and use it to pay old members or not pay anyone at all (and keep the money).
Though valid sites do exist, these sites do not always work, and even if they do work, there is no guaranteed payment until you reach a certain money amount (which could take weeks, months or even years).
Paid to Click Schemes
These companies advertise that you can make money by clicking on ads in their website. Again, you should never pay to sign up for one of these sites.
Like paid to surf schemes, these sites generally require you to wait to reach a "payout amount" before getting paid. Most of the time each ad clicked gives you between .01-.05 cents, and you are required to view the ad for at least 30 seconds, making the most a person could make under the right circumstances be $6.00 an hour. Though some sites allow you to network your friends onto the site (and you would make a percentage of what they make), most of the time there are only 20 available ads a day for viewing, giving the view a maximum amount of $1.00 to work that day.
Paid to Take Survey Schemes
Another "free money" program offered online is being paid to take surveys. Many of these offer surveys in exchange for a subscription to their site. Again, be very wary when giving anyone your credit card number.
There are also sites that claim to be free, and after signing up for them, they will give you a couple of surveys to fill out before getting additional surveys. Generally, one will be a "personality" survey in which they could "get to know you better" so they could give you surveys that would relate to you. This would be less scary if the second "practice" survey didn't require you to give them your social security number.
Social Networking Schemes
Some social networking sites promise to pay you for social networking. Most of these sites will give you .01-.25 cents for every 1000 views you either get on your site or when you click on someone else's site. While most of these do not ask you for money or for your social security number, it isn't worth your time, and as with other schemes, you must reach the minimum payout before ever receiving a check.
While some good sites are out there that won't steal your money or identity, it is impossible to discern them from the scams, and unfortunately for every one good site, there are 50 scams standing along side it promising you wealth.
Though they may be good for that "extra 5 bucks a month", make sure you are doing something else that will give you the income you need. Just remember not to get your hopes up in becoming rich with these sites and to never give out personal information on them.

5 Tell-Tale Signs a Work-at-Home Job is a Scam
When researching to find a work-at-home job, you may be discouraged to discover that many online offers are scams. Scams come in all sorts of disguises, from promises to make hundreds of dollars a day creating ads, to simple part-time job scams. You should be knowledgeable about telltale signs of these false job opportunities to protect yourself from losing your savings, or even your identity.
Sign #1: You Must Join for a Fee
Many online "companies" offer you business if you pay them a fee to get you that business. These are almost always, if not always, scams. No company who is genuinely wanting to pay you money will require you to pay them a monthly, or even a one time fee. If they want part of your money from recruiting you, they can take it out of your first paycheck (after informing you that they will do that), but you should never pay to join a company.
There are some companies that require you to purchase materials before working. If that is the case (with a company to whom you have applied), make sure you know what the materials are, and research the company to guarantee they are a valid business (before spending a dime on them).
Sign #2: Only an Email Address is Required
On websites where companies can post job openings for free, there is a chance that you will come across scams. Sometimes job descriptions are very vague, such as "part time receptionist needed", and only an email address is used for the contact information. Though some of these are valid, many of them are scams and will solicit your email addresses to send you unwanted spam mail. You will have also wasted your time writing an email cover letter.
Sign #3: A Job Description is Vague
Many Internet sites promise you that you can make lots of money if you will sign up with them, but do not give you any details on what your job will entail. These are written to appeal to many people so that they can scam more people. Even with all sorts of "employee satisfaction" quotes attached to these pages, it is a good idea to look elsewhere for your job.
Sign #4: They Claim Great Wealth in No Time
If a site promises you that you can make hundreds of dollars a day, or even a week, by only working a couple hours a day, it is most likely a scam. Very few people can ever make that much money unless they are a high executive or have special medical or highly specialized knowledge.
Sign #5: You Only Get Paid by Direct Deposit
If a company refuses to pay you by any other means than direct deposit, they may be scamming to get enough information from you to take your savings. In most states, employers are required by law to give the option of a business check, unless you are working for the Government.
Trying to find an job can be rough, and unfortunately it is made tougher by scammers. However, by weeding out the scams and focusing on the real job opportunities, you can make the job search part of your life a lot easier.

Why Choose Direct Sales Over a Traditional JOB?
The direct sales industry has seen a phenomenal growth surge in the past few years. For many people it is the answer to prayers brought on by the downsizing of Corporate America, the high prices in the economy forcing two incomes and the need for parents to control their schedule while having a parent at home with the kids. The back to basics force in the USA is doing great things for Direct Sales.
But some people are fearful of Direct Sales. It has taken on a stigma in some instances with companies going out of business; tales of huge earnings to be made in little or no time; inflated stories of large down lines that will support you in wealth for the rest of your life while working little to no hours. But these stories are getting fewer and farther between as people realize that they don’t need to pollute the minds of their potential new business people.
Direct Sales is an industry where you can truly make yourself or not. Given the right product and good methods of marketing yourself, Direct Sales is an awesome business arena to check out if you are in looking for your next venture.
Why choose direct sales? For one, the positives far outweigh the negatives. Here are a few of my reasons to choose a direct sales business over another type of business.
• Companies policies are already set
• Advertising is done by the company for the most part
• Forms, sales tools and
• Return procedures already in place
• Free or
• Some companies handle your sales tax reporting
• Reputable and established companies that are leaders in the industry
• Inexpensive supplies
• Keep the benefits of owning your own business
• No re-creating the wheel with business tools
• Ability to grow your team and
• Huge product range
• Good pay and good quality products
So how do you find the right company that fits into your life and interest level? Research!! It is the only way. Read and don’t be afraid to ask tough questions. Check their policies and procedures and make sure you can live with them. Look for established companies with proven track records. Know your dreams and desires. Look for a company that fits into your lifestyle. If you have a bad back, you probably would not be happy lugging big displays around, but if you love to cook, doing a business that involves food and the kitchen would be a good fit.
Finding the perfect direct sales business for you is right around the corner. You will enjoy the flexibility it brings and the fun it involves. Meeting awesome people is also a huge plus.
Do your research and enjoy your new life! You will surprise yourself at how good you can be running your own business and your family will love having you around more as well!

At Home America going out of Business in January!
Announcement to HSS Field
To Our HomeStyle Specialist Family
We have a sad announcement and a hopeful announcement to our Home Style Specialists family. Sadly, due to many factors, AtHome America has been experiencing financial difficulties. Although we have worked closely with our bank to resolve these difficulties, the company’s bank has decided to
There are two hopeful parts to this announcement. The first is that the bank has accepted an offer to sell the inventory of AtHome America and the non-physical assets to Signature HomeStyles, a direct sales home décor company based in suburban Chicago, SUBJECT TO the foreclosure sale procedure. This means that Signature HomeStyles’ offer to the bank will have to be the best offer received at the foreclosure sale. The hopeful part is that if Signature HomeStyles is the winning bidder, it will be offering the HomeStyle Specialists the opportunity to join their company.
The second hopeful part of this announcement is that Becky and Lisa have not given up on their quest to save AtHome America. It is possible that Becky and Lisa (or even another, as yet unknown party) comes to the sale with an offer the bank cannot refuse.
I am sorry to be sending you a message with such an uncertainty, but here at AtHome America, we can tell you this with certainty…
Between now and January 14, 2010
We will continue to fulfill your customer orders and service all of your needs.
We have put together a robust and exciting January Sale which will be effective 1/1/10, rather than 1/4/10. We want you to have the opportunity to continue to sell and make money.
Any orders that are entered into the AtHome America system by January 11th will be shipped by January 14th. Following the close of the sale, you may still hold parties and submit the orders after January 14th to Signature HomeStyles for fulfillment, if they are the winning bidder, or another party, if they are the winning bidder.
Signature HomeStyles and your Supreme Court leaders and Home Team have had preliminary conversations so that, if Signature HomeStyles is the winning bidder, there will be a smooth transition of your business to Signature HomeStyles if you elect to join their team.
We will continue to answer your questions and provide you with updated communications throughout the process. Meanwhile, we have developed a list of frequently asked questions and have included it here for your review.
Transition Plan FAQs
Q: What does this really mean?
A: After January 14, 2010, At Home America will no longer be in business due the inability to continue to operate without bank
Q: What will happen to me?
A: Unlike most company foreclosure situations, we have taken extra efforts to make this a smooth transition and find a good fit for the Home Style Specialists to be able to continue their businesses with another company. Signature HomeStyles is prepared to welcome you and create a smooth transition so there are no interruptions in your business, if they are the successful bidder.
Q: Will I be paid for the sales that my team and I have generated?
A: Yes. The final commissions will be paid by AtHome America for the orders that are entered into the AtHome America system by January 11th,, 2010 and shipped by January 14, 2010.
Q: How will I get my commission check?
A: It will be directly deposited or a check will be mailed to your home. Please be sure that we have your correct mailing address.
Q: Will my customers get their orders?
A: Yes. All orders will be filled by AtHome America, if the order is submitted to us by January 11, 2010.
Q: Will my customers get refunds for products that At Home America is unable to ship?
A: Yes. The customers’ money will be refunded by AtHome America for orders that are placed by January 11th if the order cannot be filled and the customer is unwilling to take an alternative product of equal or higher value as a substitute.
Q: Will there still be a meeting in Chicago on January 28th?
A: Yes. Whether Signature HomeStyles or our co-founders are the ultimate buyers, both of them are planning to conduct the January 28th meeting for AtHome Leaders and Directors. If Signature HomeStyles is the buyer, the location will change to a convenient location in the Chicago area.
Sorry to see ya go!
If you would like to load up on some great sales they are having make sure you visit there site!
